TapeType is a text-expansion productivity tool that allows users to create shortcuts for frequently used text snippets. The Service is provided as a browser extension and web application, enabling users to expand shortcuts instantly in any text field across supported platforms.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. TapeType reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Free and Paid Plans

TapeType offers a free tier with unlimited snippets for individual use. Team and enterprise plans include additional features such as shared folders, cross-device sync, and admin controls. Paid plans are billed per seat per month or annually. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use TapeType to store, transmit, or expand content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, defamatory, or violates any third-party rights. You may not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the Service. Automated scraping or abuse of the API is prohibited.

6. Intellectual Property

The TapeType brand, interface, and underlying technology are owned by TapeType and protected by intellectual property laws. Your snippets and content remain yours — TapeType claims no ownership over content you create. You grant TapeType a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. TapeType is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to Terms

TapeType may update these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
